Gobi manchurian is a special dish for all vegetarians,nothing like that can go well with fried rice or with any indian bread.After coming to US, i was not able to have this dish with perfect taste and finally decided to try it out myself and i got this recipe(frying method) from one of my friend ...I love this one and hope u guys too will enjoy it a lot..
As the oil consumed by this dish is more,we may resist our temptations in having this,one day i decided to bake it with same ingredients,as i didnt have much oil to deep fry it.It came out really well and my my husband didnt even beleive it was baked.

Caulifower(gobi) -1 medium sized
Onion - 2(medium sized)
Capsicum(bellpepper ) - 1(medium sized)
Ginger - a small piece
Green chillies - 4 nos (can vary acc to ur spice)
Garlic - 2 pods
All purpose flour(maida) - 1 cup
Corn flour - 1.5 tbl sp
Chilly powder - 1 tbl sp
ginger garlic paste-1tbl sp
soy sauce - 3-4 tbl sp
ketch up
salt - to taste
red colour - a pinchwater - to make batter
oil - for deep frying
lemon - 1/2 lemon
Method
Cut gobi/cauliflower into bite sized pieces.
Mix all purpose flour,corn flour,chilly powder,ginger garlic paste ,a pinch of colour and salt with little water and make it in semisolid consistency
FRYING METHOD
Take cauliflower pieces and put one by one in batter and deep fry in oil(note:it will take long time for the cauliflower pieces to fry and for the rawness to go).The pic shown above is made out of this method
BAKING METHOD
For baking method,cut the florets into small pieces and cook it in microwave or in stove for ten minutes,Take a kitchen towel and dry the florets completely.
Mix all purpose flour,corn flour,chilly powder,ginger garlic paste ,a pinch of colour and salt with little water and make it in semisolid consistency
Take a conventional oven safe vessal or baking sheet.Spray some oil into vessal.Put the cauliflower florets separetely.Preheat oven at 420 degree and bake for 20 minutes.just take it out and toss and give at regular intervals.Bake till you can see dark spots in florets.Make sure that florets are not getting burnt.The picture will be put shortly.
- Cut onion,capsicum ,ginger,garlic and green chillies length wise.
- Take another pan,pour some oil in it and onion,when it turns pink add capsicum green chillies,ginger and garlic.
- Add soy sauce to the above veggies and finally add our fried cauliflower pieces to it and mix everything nicely
- Finally add ketchup to the mixture in pan and u can see cauliflower shrinking,switch off the pan and squeeze lemon at end.
- Our spicy gobi manchurian is ready to eat.
